A Night in Life
What happens when you can’t sleep
After an unnecessary and exceedingly long post-work nap, I find myself at a complete loss of sleep at 11:30 pm on a particular winter night.
Now time does what it does best — it passes.
And my phone does what it does best — it finds ways to pass time when you can’t sleep.
I re-install Instagram on my phone after a long time and get caught up on stalking different people, mostly writers.
I do what I do best — imagine these writer’s lives, how they’d write, what must be their daily routine, what must their minds occupy most of the time, how do they find motivation to pursue writing career, how must they have landed this/that gig…Blah, Blah, Blah and more Blah.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge”, Einstein said.
What he didn’t say is that Imagination can make you completely lose track of time.
It’s 4:00 am in the morning and sleep still hasn’t knocked my eyelids!
“Maybe I need to clear my head” I think.
I get up and take a hot shower. At 4:00 AM!!
And now my stomach rumbles, obviously!
Maggi Ramen noodles to the rescue!
To mark my return to Instagram, I think of posting a picture with a caption ‘Maggi at 4 in the morning’, but the cliché ness of it made me drop the idea.
