Let’s Write a Real Poem
A poem which checks all the boxes
Rusty ink and blank canvas.
The usual.
Let’s jump into the pool.
But first,
Let’s research some tools.
Wither some more life,
In the veil of productivity.
Now ready?
Stare into the recesses of the brain,
Hoping to find, perhaps,
A bugle?
Got instead a phony muse,
With a close resemblance to,
Maybe a Mule.
That’s great!
A tunnel beam!
Follow that parallel!
Let’s research words ending with ‘le’
i.e. a perfect rhyming scheme.
Make up some imaginations,
The more unreal,
The better the application.
Like the wormhole of symphony,
Make them use the dictionary,
To look up the word
Cacophony.
To cater the ‘wise’ critic,
Have an additional
Line
breaker.
Throw up some non-rhymers.
