Belated Eid Mubarak All!
I think Celebrations are in order.

But not because we now have the ‘freedom’ to eat and drink whenever we want.

But because we now find ourselves successful at the end of this journey which seemed daunting at first.

Ramdan requires us to let go of all our ‘addictions’.
Some (including me) need extended amount of sleep to function.
Some consider smoking to be crucial for their survival.
And for majority of us, it's the food and water that we have to have every 4–6 hours to be alive.

These are all the things that we keep telling ourselves we cannot get by without.

But then Ramadan comes and shatters all those beliefs. It purifies us from all those delusions which pester within us.
At the end of Ramadan, we find ourselves alive, well and healthy after completely depriving ourselves of all those ‘essential’ things for 29 straight days.

I think the end of Surah Baqarah perfectly summarizes what our attitude should be at the end of Ramadan.

Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us…
